REFERENCES
"I worked as a producer on a number of projects with Javier. Not only is he inherently a talented developer with a strong creative flair,
he noticeably adapted and grew into the role, showing a true ability to advance himself. He is perhaps the best estimator I have worked alongside,
and has a genuine skill at finding alternate solutions. Perhaps most importantly, he is tremendous fun to work alongside - I thoroughly enjoyed my time with him."
Ciaran O’Connor, Developer Relations Manager at Unity Technologies
"Have known Jav for three years now, bringing him into Curiscope as our first employee.
In this time I've seen him grow from somebody starting with Unity to a competent mid-level developer who has increasingly
taken on more responsibility as we've given it to him. He's a great problem solver and is able to dive deep into very complex subjects."
Ed Barton, Director of Business Development at Moshi Sleep
WORK & EXPERIENCE
I have worked both as a permanent employee and a freelance contractor. I have been part of great
teams on site and I have also done fully remote projects as a freelancer.
This is an Oculus Quest VR experience commissioned by Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult.
This experience consists of a virtual tour where users can freely explore the client’s hi-tech
installations and learn about its features and equipment.
I worked in this Unity project as the sole C# programmer, fully remote, collaborating with creatives and artists with Unity Collaborate.
I worked at Nexus Studios for a period of three weeks building a concept prototype of an AR experience
for iOS using latest ARKit3 features such as SLAM while experimenting with novel exploration
mechanics for the AR content to use immersion as a storytelling tool.
This app was commissioned to Solarflare Studio
and was meant as a part of an exhibition area by ARM at the Mobile World Congress 2020.
At the end of a tour, a single visitor or a group would be offered to pose for a picture.
This picture will be enhanced with 3D content related to the exhibition using ARKit3’s SLAM and
Human Segmentation technologies. The picture would be finally uploaded to the server on the
spot for the visitor to retrieve it.
During my time at Vision3 I combined the update and maintenance of high end PC VR experiences
for exhibitions and events while also doing R&D on new ways of producing VR video content.
My first job as a professional developer was at Curiscope.
While working there 4 successful products were released:
Virtuali-Tee (2016)
iOS & Android
By combining a printed t-shirt and AR technology Virtuali-tee
is able to deliver mesmerizing educative content like very few can. It renders a high quality 3D
representation of the human body that the users can explore and interact with.
I worked in this project over a 3 years span. I was responsible for the storefront updates on all versions,
adding new content such as localisation packages and for performing bug fixing tasks while the product was live.
An immersive educational game for PC VR platform. It allows for the player to explore beautiful underwater areas with great
freedom thanks to an innovative locomotion system. Interactive creatures with intricate behaviour and animation makes an engaging gameplay.
This is a companion app that works with DK’s All About VR book
using AR and VR technology. It allows the user to access 5 VR scenes full of interactable content referenced also on the book. Works using a Google Cardboard viewer included with the book.
This is a collection of personal works including VR development utilities and shader packages.
It is a collection utilities and scripts refactored to work together seamlessly.
It provides VR features such as UI INTERACTION, LOCOMOTION and PERFORMANCE CONTROL.
I use this code as the basis for new VR projects regardless the platform targeted.

This collection of shaders is designed for performance but it is also able to produce compelling graphics.
Including effects such as vertical fog and model outline, all shaders are single pass stereo ready, lightmap compatible and easy to iterate on.
This shaders are a great choice for mobile VR games.
Spark AR is a great platform to deliver AR content and reach a massive amount of users in social media as it is natively integrated in both Facebook and Instagram.
Featuring advanced AR capabilities it is a frictionless way for anybody to enjoy your custom AR experiences.
